Bill Stepanek, Performance Strategist

Professional Background:
Bill started in the financial service industry in 1979 when he joined EF Hutton as a Financial Advisor in Colorado Springs, CO. He later headed the training of new FAs for EFH. From 1983 to 2004 Bill was a Branch Manager or member of a branch management team in Hawaii and California for EF Hutton and Smith Barney. For the past seven years Bill has been a team consultant and coach with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. In January 2012l he and his partners formed The Team Performance Group LLc.  Bill is a Certified Professional Behavioral and Values Analyst which gives him the skill to help teams develop their internal communication and group dynamics. Bill is also a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC) which he uses to help teams work efficiently toward change.

Business teams, non-profit teams and the leaders of those teams.

Teams and team leaders who have a strong desire to improve their performance, and are willing to make the changes necessary to reach their goals.

Strategy Deployment:
My preferred communication is face-to-face.  However telephone contact is effective.  Ideally I like to meet with teams initially and then use phone contact after the relationships are established.  For teams to make steady progress I find bi-weekly calls are the preferred frequency of contact.

My goal as a coach is to help teams and team leaders reach their potential.  Through my years of experience in the financial service s industry I had many roles and guided many advisors and teams.  I have studied both the people side of teams and the practice management side of teams and am well equipped to guide teams through all phases of their development while keeping the key elements of team in balance.
